The Department of Philosophy Started with the establishment of the college with the aim of keeping the eternal ideals of Indian culture and protecting Social values, along with developing the vision of intellectual, moral and systematic Philosophical thinking among the girl students. The first Principal of the college Mrs. Leela Sharma jee used to teach this subject in 1965, Mrs. Shashi Bala Dubey was appointed to assist her. In 1991Mrs. Indira Gupta took the charge of the Post of Principal. The department has the honour of having two commited and dedicated Principals like Mrs Leela Sharma ji and Ms. Indira gupta ji. Dr. Usha Kushwaha was appointed in1991. after the tenure of Mrs. Mrs Shashibala Debey, Dr. Mamta Mishra was appointed to the post of Lecturer in 2000.
